A great many of L.C. Tiffany’s original designs were inspired by his love of nature. One of his favorite subjects was the garden snail. Our designers have wonderfully recreated Tiffany’s snail in this whimsical Snail Accent Lamp. The lamp’s shade is a nautilus shell that reaches upwards and curls around itself. The shell is hand crafted of art glass pieces in yellow, orange and amber. Each piece is individually hand rolled and copper foiled using the same technique first developed by Tiffany himself in the late Nineteenth Century. The lamp’s base is meticulously cast in the shape of the snail’s body, complete with dual sets of antennae and reptilian scales and is finished in Antique Bronze.
